Solid Oak Wood: The Power of Authenticity

ZARA DINING TABLE WITH SOLID OAK WOOD TOP

At PURE designs, we consider solid oak to be the quintessential premium material. It is not just a tabletop or a set of legs; these are solid pieces cut directly from the heart of the tree. Our solid oak tables are designed for those who value the strength, real texture, and durability that only nature can forge over decades.

We treat our solid oak with open-pore varnishes and extra-matte finishes. The goal is to protect the wood against stains and liquids without creating an artificial plastic layer. We want you to feel the warmth and the relief of the oak’s natural fiber when you run your hand across your table.

Solid oak is available for our dining tables, coffee tables, consoles and for the Chamon leg.

Why choose Solid Oak for your dining table?

Structural Resistance: Oak is one of the densest and hardest woods in existence. A solid table is practically indestructible, withstanding the passage of generations without losing its integrity.

Restoration Capability: Unlike other materials, solid wood can be sanded and re-varnished after years of use, allowing the table to look brand new whenever you desire.

Organic Beauty: Every knot, every grain, and every irregularity tells the tree’s story. At PURE designs, we respect these identity marks, which turn every table into a unique and unrepeatable piece.

Maintenance and Care

Daily Cleaning: Use a slightly damp cotton cloth. Avoid products containing waxes or silicones, as they can clog the wood’s natural pores.

Humidity and Temperature: Solid wood is a living material. We recommend maintaining a stable ambient humidity level to prevent the wood’s natural movements.

Responsible Use: Although oak is very hard, we recommend using placemats to protect the finish from sources of extreme heat.

💡 A touch of distinction for PURE designs

At PURE designs, we hand-select every oak plank to ensure the balance between knots and grain is aesthetically perfect. This adds a level of “curation” that justifies the premium value of our solid wood.
